We are working with a leading digital transformation boutique consulting firm headquartered in Singapore. They are seeking an experienced BA to support a Murex Implementation for a strategic client engagement with a large European Private Bank.


Project: New Murex implementation

Location: Singapore (open to PR, Singaporeans and those needing EP but able to relocate by 1st July 2026)

Project Duration: ~18 months

Approximate start date: Early July

Geographic scope: Singapore & Hong Kong

Role: Business Analyst

Scope: Murex Front-to-Back Transformation for European Financial Services provider


Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the Asia stream of a strategic Murex Front-to-Back implementation program for a European-headquartered FI. Based in Singapore, the role will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology delivery teams across Asia and EMEA.

The successful candidate will contribute to business analysis, functional design, process optimization, testing coordination, and implementation activities across Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology domains. The role requires strong capital markets knowledge combined with hands-on Murex experience and the ability to work within complex international transformation programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis & Requirements Management
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements across Front-to-Back processes
  • Conduct workshops with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Compliance stakeholders/SMEs
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories Perform gap analysis between current-state processes and target operating mode


Murex Functional Support

  • Support implementation and configuration activities across relevant Murex modules, including: Front Office Risk Operations Accounting Market Data Interfaces and Reporting
  • Collaborate with IT, architects, and central project teams on functional solution design
  • Assist in defining workflows, trade lifecycle events, and operational controls


Process and Data Analysis

  • Analyze trade flows, booking models, static data, and operational processes
  • Support data mapping, migration validation, and reconciliation activities
  • Ensure consistency of regional requirements with global standards and architecture


Testing & Implementation support

  • Coordinate and support SIT, UAT, and regression testing activities
  • Prepare test cases, test scenarios, and business validation documentation
  • Support defect triage and resolution with technology and vendor teams
  • Participate in cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization activities


Stakeholder and Project Co-ordination

  • Work closely with regional and global project managers, business users, and technology teams
  • Facilitate communication between Asia stakeholders and global program leadership Support governance reporting, issue tracking, and project documentation


Required Experience & Skills Mandatory

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking or capital markets
  • Strong experience with Murex implementations, upgrades, or support programs
  • Good understanding of Front-to-Back capital markets workflows
  • Experience working with trading, treasury, operations, risk, or finance teams
  • Strong documentation and requirements management capabilities
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or integration projects


Functional Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

  • FX, Fixed Income, Equity, Rates, Derivatives, and Treasury products
  • Trade lifecycle management
  • Risk and P&L processes
  • Settlements and operations workflows
  • Static data and reference data concepts


Preferred skills and experience

  • Familiarity with APAC regulatory considerations
  • Experience within private banking or wealth management organizations
  • Prior exposure to European banking environments
  • Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, or reconciliation tools is advantageous
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
