A Global Consulting Firm is looking for a mid-level SAP ABAP Developer to support the same ERP data migration programme in Japan. This role is execution-focused and suited to someone with experience working with SAP data tables, particularly cluster and pool tables, and strong ABAP capability.

The role can be hybrid or fully remote, with Tokyo as the travel location if needed. This is a 2-month contract (possibility of extension).

The contractor will join an existing team to support migration delivery and help with SAP-related extraction and engineering activity. The initial requirement is shorter-term, although there may be scope for the engagement to evolve depending on the individual’s wider skill set.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support the delivery of ERP data migration work as part of a wider team.
• Work with SAP data tables, including cluster and pool tables.
• Develop and execute SAP ABAP-based migration or extraction tasks.
• Contribute to ETL and migration activity where relevant.
• Collaborate with developers and project stakeholders on migration delivery.

Your Background

• Mid-level experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
• Strong knowledge of SAP data tables, especially cluster and pool tables.
• Good working knowledge of ABAP.
• Experience supporting execution-focused delivery in data or ERP migration environments.
• Python, SQL, ETL, and data migration experience would be helpful.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow and AWS would be helpful.
• Knowledge of IBM DataStage would be a strong advantage.
• Sector background in asset management or aviation would be preferred
• Japanese language skills would be a plus, but strong candidates without Japanese will still be considered.
