Our client is looking for a professional, dynamic, and highly experienced Cloud Engineer Architect & DevOps specialist to design, build, and manage critical cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a senior-level role suited to an individual who is confident working in complex environments, engaging with multiple stakeholders, and driving best-practice cloud and DevOps solutions.

This position is offered on a contract basis, with the potential to convert to permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade GCP infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability
• Architect and manage cloud-native and hybrid solutions within GCP
• Lead and support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, infrastructure as code, and monitoring
• Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, provide guidance, and deliver solutions aligned to business objectives
• Act as a technical advisor on cloud architecture, DevOps strategy, and best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in cloud engineering, architecture, and DevOps roles
• Proven, hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – this is critical
• Strong experience with cloud architecture design and infrastructure management
• Demonstrated ability to manage and engage stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Strong problem-solving mindset and a proactive, delivery-focused approach
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within teams
