Our client is seeking a highly experienced Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of complex, interdependent projects and ensure delivery is aligned with broader business strategy. The successful consultant will provide strategic oversight across multiple projects, establishing strong governance, managing programme-level risks and dependencies, and ensuring resources and budgets are effectively managed.

This is a senior role requiring someone who can operate confidently with divisional leadership, provide guidance to Project Managers and translate strategic priorities into executable programme roadmaps. The ideal consultant will bring significant programme management experience, strong business acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while driving delivery across a complex organisation.

Key Activities

• Translate business strategy into executable programme roadmaps.
• Lead and coordinate multiple interdependent projects.

• Identify and resolve cross-project conflicts and delivery bottlenecks.
• Develop business cases for programme initiatives.
• Engage senior leadership and manage complex stakeholder expectations.
• Lead organisational change initiatives within the programme.
• Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to Project Managers.
• Report programme performance, risks and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across programme management practices.

Your Background

Essential

• 7–10+ years of Project Management experience.
• 3–5+ years of dedicated Programme Management experience.
• Proven experience managing complex programmes comprising multiple interdependent projects.
• Strong programme governance and portfolio management experience.
• Track record of successfully delivering large and complex programmes.
• Programme or Project Management certification such as PMP, MSP or equivalent.
• Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities.
• Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong financial and programme budget management experience.
• Advanced risk and change management capability.
• Experience leading and developing Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions within complex and ambiguous environments.
