Project Overview

A global technology consulting company is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of its Microsoft Security practice.


You will be responsible for developing new client relationships, identifying opportunities within enterprise organisations and working alongside highly skilled technical consultants to deliver Microsoft security solutions. This role will suit someone who enjoys consultative selling, building long-term partnerships and driving business growth within the technology consulting sector.


Key Activities

New Business Development: Identify, qualify and develop new sales opportunities across enterprise and mid-market organisations.

Relationship Management: Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CISOs, IT Leaders and senior business stakeholders.

Solution Selling: Understand customer challenges and position Microsoft Security solutions that align with business objectives.

Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM management.

Proposal Development: Collaborate with consulting and technical delivery teams to prepare proposals, presentations and commercial responses.

Market Development: Build awareness of the company's Microsoft Security capabilities through networking, industry engagement and client meetings.


Your Background

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Business Development, Technology Sales or Account Management.
  • Demonstrated experience selling technology consulting, managed services or enterprise software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft technology stack, particularly Microsoft Security solutions.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to build executive-level relationships.


Desirable

  • Experience selling Microsoft Security, Azure or Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Existing network across enterprise organisations within Australia.
  • Experience working within a technology consulting, systems integrator or managed services environment.
  • Knowledge of cyber security trends and enterprise technology landscapes.
  • Microsoft sales or technical certifications.
  • Experience responding to RFPs and enterprise procurement processes.
