Project Overview

A leading global payments organisation is seeking a Technical Product Delivery Manager to drive the deployment of its digital payment solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

This role will focus on enabling and scaling Click to Pay, Token Authentication, and Secure Card on File capabilities, ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant implementations for merchants, PSPs, and acquiring partners. This is a hands-on position with a strong focus on enhancing the customer checkout experience, including API debugging, reviewing JavaScript, and performing IAT testing.

This is a full-time, 12-month contract based in Sydney CBD, operating in a hybrid working model (up to 4 days per week in the office or with clients).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own technical product delivery for Click to Pay, Token Authentication, and Secure Card on File initiatives
  • Manage customer implementations end to end, from initial sale and pre-sales support through scoping, solutioning, implementation, and post-launch support
  • Drive technical integration with acquirers, PSPs, and merchants
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to localise and implement digital payment frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with scheme standards and local regulations
  • Partner with engineering, UX, and business teams to define product requirements, user flows, and technical specifications
  • Monitor and optimise product performance, adoption, and customer experience across channels

Your Background

Essential

  • Experience working with merchant checkout and digital wallet implementations
  • Background in Technical/Solutions Consulting, Technical Architecture, or Presales Engineering
  • End-to-end delivery engagement experience (discovery > design > implementation > go-live)
  • Payments integration experience (HPP/iframe, REST APIs)
  • Strong REST API and JavaScript SDK integration and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of authentication and security (OAuth 1.0/2.0, asymmetric encryption)
  • Ability to lead client integrations and resolve frontend and backend issues
  • Ability to assess client environments and provide tailored integration guidance
  • Experience collaborating with clients and UX/UI teams to optimise checkout and payment flows

Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (a plus, but not essential)
  • Hands-on experience with payment gateways (e.g. Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, Chargebee, Chargify)
  • Broader payments ecosystem knowledge (card schemes, tokenisation, wallets, checkout flows)
  • Exposure to Click to Pay or similar products
  • Mobile payments experience (iOS/Android, WebViews, hybrid apps)
  • Experience supporting certification and production readiness
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required
