Project Overview

Our client, a global consulting firm is partnering with a a leading U.S.-based insurance firm is establishing a strategic Innovation Center in India. This new hub is envisioned as a scaled, multi-functional center of excellence designed to drive enterprise transformation and build the company's next-generation global talent footprint across technology, business operations, and advanced capabilities like AI/GenAI, Data Engineering, and Cybersecurity. This is a high-impact initiative to build a platform from the ground up.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Transition Manager to support in executing this critical setup. As a key member of the Transition Management Office, you will manage the day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of business, technology, and corporate function transitions from global headquarters and vendor partners into the new India center. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring seamless knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and business continuity, ultimately building the foundation for a high-performing Innovation Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transition Execution & Planning: Lead the end-to-end execution of transition plans across offshoring and insourcing work streams. This includes developing detailed plans, milestones, and interdependencies, while also documenting current and future state workflows to streamline the transition process.
  • On-Ground Enablement: Provide direct execution support to process SMEs and workstream leads. Facilitate knowledge transfer through classroom training, work shadowing, and assessments, while managing the "dual run" period to ensure seamless business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
  • Stakeholder & Governance Management: Serve as the primary operational point of accountability, coordinating with global business teams, HR, Technology, and Procurement. You will prepare governance materials, status reports, and dashboards for leadership reviews, and actively monitor risks and issues to ensure timely mitigation.
  • Service Readiness & Stabilization: Ensure operational readiness prior to go-live through rigorous assessments and control validation. You will verify service continuity plans and compliance requirements, monitor post-transition performance against SLAs and KPIs, and oversee the structured handover to BAU teams.
  • Process Excellence: Contribute to the continuous improvement of transition methodologies and playbooks by capturing lessons learned and best practices. You will support capability-building initiatives and help standardize approaches to enhance speed, quality, and business outcomes.

Your Background

  • Experience: 12+ years of total experience, with 10+ years specifically in transition management, program delivery, or setting up GCC/shared services within enterprises, consulting firms, or global systems integrators.
  • Expertise: Proven experience executing complex transition programs across all phases (due diligence, knowledge transfer, migration, go-live, and stabilization). Strong understanding of global delivery models in technology, operations, and BPO environments.
  • Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills to present complex concepts effectively to executive stakeholders. Proven success in navigating matrixed and cross-cultural organizations.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Location: On-site in Delhi/NCR, India.
  • Contract Duration: Initial 5–6 months, with a high possibility of extension based on performance.
