Our client is looking for a senior Innovation and Venture Designer with strong expertise across UX/UI, product design, human-centred design, venture incubation and AI-augmented design workflows. This is a senior individual contributor role based in Singapore, working on a hybrid basis.
The client is a large financial services organisation with a venture-building and innovation arm. The contractor will support the Head of Innovation and Design in shaping and delivering customer-centric digital and service experiences across multiple ventures.
The role is intended to improve customer outcomes, accelerate venture validation, strengthen product-market fit and support the creation, incubation and scaling of new ventures. Success will be assessed through improved usability, engagement, conversion, time-to-market, design quality and the ability to influence venture and product decisions through evidence-led design.
What you will be doing
- Own end-to-end experience design for digital products and platforms across the venture lifecycle, from discovery through to scale.
- Translate customer needs, business strategy and technical constraints into intuitive, usable and scalable design solutions.
- Define and maintain design standards, interaction patterns and design systems across ventures where appropriate.
- Lead design-led discovery and innovation activities, including user research, journey mapping, service design and problem framing.
- Apply methodologies such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Jobs-to-Be-Done and rapid experimentation to validate concepts.
- Support venture incubation by shaping value propositions, MVP definitions and experimentation roadmaps.
- Facilitate and contribute to design sprints, ideation sessions and co-creation workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Use AI to accelerate qualitative and quantitative research synthesis, while safeguarding against bias and hallucination.
- Design and operate AI-augmented discovery, ideation and prototyping workflows, combining human insight with AI agents and tools.
- Establish design quality standards, evaluation criteria and review mechanisms for AI-generated and human-generated outputs.
- Define human-in-the-loop checkpoints to ensure design quality, differentiation, ethical use and regulatory compliance.
- Partner closely with engineering and delivery teams to support efficient and faithful implementation.
- Operate across multiple ventures simultaneously, prioritising work based on strategic impact.
- Act as a trusted design partner to venture CEOs, senior product managers and senior innovation leadership.
- Balance customer needs, commercial objectives, regulatory considerations and delivery constraints.
- Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, governance, risk and conduct requirements.
Your background
- 10–15+ years’ experience across facilitation, product design, product commercialisation, innovation design, UX/UI and/or consulting.
- Proven experience designing complex, customer-facing digital products at scale.
- Strong expertise in UX research, interaction design, visual design and prototyping, including Figma.
- Experience working in AI-augmented or automation-rich product environments, using AI tools or agents to accelerate discovery and delivery.
- Ability to define intent, constraints and evaluation criteria for AI-generated outputs across design and innovation workflows.
- Strong systems thinking, with experience designing workflows, guardrails and governance rather than only design artefacts.
- Strong understanding of agile product development and cross-functional delivery models.
- Experience operating at Director-level influence without formal people management responsibility.
- Ability to clearly articulate design decisions to senior, non-design stakeholders.
- Experience with Claude Code and/or Cursor is preferred.
