We are looking for a high-performing Deals Analyst to support strategic transactions, commercial initiatives and mergers & acquisitions activities within a leading financial services organisation.

This role offers exposure to transaction execution, financial analysis, investment case development, market research and executive decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders and transaction teams to support deal evaluation and execution activities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Investment Cases

• Prepare financial analysis and transaction support materials.
• Develop basic valuation and financial models.
• Assist in the preparation of business and investment cases.
• Analyse financial statements and commercial performance.

Deal Execution Support

• Support transaction planning and execution activities.
• Track deliverables, actions and key milestones.
• Coordinate stakeholders across transaction workstreams.
• Assist with due diligence coordination and documentation.

Strategic & Market Analysis

• Conduct company, sector and competitor research.
• Analyse market trends and strategic opportunities.
• Assess commercial and business considerations relevant to potential transactions.

Executive and Governance Reporting

• Prepare high-quality presentations and governance packs.
• Compile transaction papers for management and approval forums.
• Present findings in a concise and executive-ready format.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• BCom, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related degree.

Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Financial services, insurance or banking industry exposure.
• Experience supporting transactions, corporate finance, strategy, investments or commercial projects advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Financial statement analysis.
• Basic financial modelling.
• Understanding of valuation fundamentals.
• Business case development.
