Our client, a global consulting firm is looking for a a senior technology and architecture facilitation consultant to lead two related workstreams on a large-scale technology transformation programme.

The role is based in Hong Kong, predominantly on-site, hybrid for 3-months.

What you will be doing

• Facilitate target architecture and solution design work with architects, including integration boundaries with adjacent systems.
• Facilitate the architecture approvals process — prepare submissions, track them through review forums, and close out conditions and actions.
• Support security, compliance and IT risk assessment requirements for the design phase.
• Support decisions on hosting, environments, DevOps and infrastructure approach, and document the implications.
• Support architects and the delivery team on effort sizing (out-of-the-box vendor delivery vs. customisation vs. in-house build).
• Shape and maintain the technology book of work; support assessment of vendor technical responses during vendor selection.
• Develop materials for and support facilitation of technical workshops; capture decisions and open items and drive them to closure.
• Translate architecture and design decisions into terms product, delivery and business stakeholders can act on.

Your background

• Seniority: Approx. 4 to 8 years
• Essential: Working knowledge of integration architecture and patterns (APIs, event-driven integration, middleware) and of how architecture decisions flow into delivery effort and cost; experience preparing and taking material through enterprise architecture governance or design authority forums; exposure to cloud architecture, environment management and CI/CD; experience facilitating between architects, engineers and business stakeholders on a live programme; strong structuring/documentation skills for non-technical senior audiences and strong PowerPoint/Excel
• Nice to have: Platform experience in payments, wallets, ledgers or customer account management; experience supporting vendor selection and technical due diligence; familiarity with security, data privacy and regulatory requirements for regulated consumer platforms; effort estimation / total cost of ownership modelling experience; Hong Kong delivery experience and spoken Cantonese/Mandarin
• Sector background: Regulated, consumer-facing platform experience is preferred but not essential
• Consulting vs industry: Technology consulting or solution architecture background preferred
• Project experience: Large platform implementations that go through formal architecture governance
