A leading global consulting firm is supporting an FMCG organisation is looking to strengthen its supply chain capabilities, with a particular focus on improving service levels for e-commerce channels and building a more direct route to e-commerce chains.

The Supply Chain Consultant will work closely with the client’s supply chain team to identify improvement opportunities across demand and supply planning, production planning, and service levels, while helping build the capabilities required to work directly with e-commerce chains without distributor-led models.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current supply chain and planning processes supporting e-commerce channels and identify opportunities to improve service levels.
• Support demand and supply planning to improve availability and fulfilment across e-commerce chains.
• Review production planning processes and identify opportunities to improve responsiveness and supply reliability.
• Identify and support initiatives to improve fill rates and overall service levels.
• Help develop processes and capabilities required to manage direct relationships with e-commerce chains without distributors.
• Work with relevant cross-functional teams to drive implementation of identified supply chain improvements.

Your Background

• 4–8 years of relevant supply chain experience, ideally with a leading FMCG organisation.
• Strong understanding of demand and supply planning and production planning.
• Experience driving fill-rate or service-level improvement initiatives.
• Experience working with e-commerce channels or supply chain challenges related to e-commerce would be valuable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate analysis into practical recommendations.
• Tier 1 or Tier 2 B-school background preferred, though this can be flexible for candidates with strong relevant experience.

• The project is a full-time engagement for an initial duration of 4 months, with potential extension by a further 2 months.
• Location: Bangalore.
• Client-related expenses, including travel, food and accommodation, will be covered where required.
