We are looking to connect with experienced professionals across Risk, Data, Cloud, Compliance, Technology, and Insurance Finance as we anticipate future project demand from banks, insurers, fintechs, and consulting firms across South Africa.

This is not an active role. We are proactively building a talent pool of independent consultants and contractors so that we can respond quickly as new client projects come to market.

Based on the demand we are seeing, we are particularly interested in professionals with specialist experience across Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Risk Modelling, AWS, Compliance, Legal Advisory, IFRS 17, and C#/.NET development.

What you may support:

• Build and enhance data pipelines, data platforms, analytical datasets, and reporting environments.
• Deliver advanced data analytics, BI, customer insights, fraud analytics, and decision-support solutions.
• Develop, validate, or enhance credit risk, IFRS 9, capital, pricing, and other quantitative risk models.
• Support cloud migration, platform engineering, DevOps, and modernisation initiatives within AWS environments.
• Deliver compliance, regulatory, GRC, and financial crime advisory programmes.
• Provide specialist legal and regulatory advisory support across complex Financial Services environments.
• Support insurers across IFRS 17 reporting, actuarial modelling, finance transformation, and regulatory implementation.
• Develop and modernise enterprise applications using C# and .NET, including APIs, integrations, and financial systems.
• Work across business, technology, finance, actuarial, risk, and compliance teams to deliver complex transformation initiatives.

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience within banking, insurance, fintech, or broader Financial Services.
• Specialist expertise in one or more of the following:
• Data Engineering.
• Data Analytics / Business Intelligence.
• Risk Modelling / Model Validation.
• AWS Cloud Engineering / Architecture.
• Compliance / GRC / Regulatory Risk.
• Financial Services Legal Advisory.
• IFRS 17 / Insurance Finance.
• C# / .NET Engineering.
• Experience delivering complex projects within regulated enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capability.
• Ability to operate independently and deliver practical, high-quality outputs.
• Consulting, contracting, or project-based experience is advantageous.

Preferred background:

• Enterprise data and analytics transformation.
• Credit risk, IFRS 9, model validation, or regulatory modelling programmes.
• AWS cloud migration, DevOps, and platform modernisation.
• Regulatory compliance, governance, financial crime, or risk transformation.
• Insurance finance, actuarial transformation, and IFRS 17.
• Financial Services legal and regulatory advisory.
• Digital banking, insurance, payments, or fintech technology programmes.
• Backend and integration development using C#/.NET.
