Project Overview

A leading financial institution in the Philippines is entering the implementation phase of a large-scale technology cost transformation programme following the completion of strategy and solution design. As part of a broader one-year transformation initiative, the client is seeking an experienced Associate Consultant to take ownership of the Vendor Workstream, driving procurement, vendor evaluation, and benefits realisation activities.


This role is ideal for a consulting-trained professional with experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or cost optimisation. The consultant will work closely with senior stakeholders across technology, finance, procurement, legal, and business teams to support vendor selection processes, manage commercial discussions, and ensure targeted savings are achieved.


The successful candidate will be a local Philippines-based professional who understands both consulting delivery expectations and procurement processes, and can operate independently within a fast-paced transformation environment.

Key Activities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of the Vendor Workstream, including planning, governance, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Drive procurement and sourcing activities across technology, business applications, tools, and infrastructure spend areas.
  • Support the implementation and realisation of targeted cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage and track benefits from opportunity identification through implementation and financial realisation.
  • Work closely with Finance and initiative owners to validate:
  • Savings baselines
  • Benefit calculation methodologies
  • Realisation timelines
  • Financial outcomes
  • Lead and support RFP processes, including:
  • Requirements definition
  • Vendor evaluation
  • Scoring criteria development
  • Commercial assessment
  • Recommendation preparation
  • Manage relationships with strategic vendors and support commercial discussions.
  • Coordinate across Procurement, Finance, Legal, Technology, Risk, and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain initiative trackers, executive reporting packs, and financial models.
  • Identify delivery risks, benefit leakage, and additional value creation opportunities.
  • Escalate material issues and develop practical mitigation plans.


Your Background

Essential

  • 2–4 years of professional experience.
  • Previous experience in management consulting, preferably from MBB, Tier 1 strategy firms, or equivalent consulting environments.
  • Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, procurement transformation, cost optimisation, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of procurement and RFP processes.
  • Experience conducting vendor evaluations and commercial assessments.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing business cases and tracking benefits or savings.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and executive reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent English, fluency in Tagalog is not mandatory
  • Philippines citizen or candidate with unrestricted right to work in the Philippines.

Desirable

  • Prior experience supporting technology transformation programmes.
  • Experience working with banking or financial services clients.
  • Familiarity with technology procurement, software vendor selection, or infrastructure sourcing.
  • Experience participating in commercial negotiations and contract-related discussions.
