We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12-month engagement based in Sydney CBD. This role offers flexibility to work 4–5 days per week with a hybrid working arrangement. The successful talent will be responsible for overseeing the organisation's end-to-end credit risk function across underwriting, portfolio management, fraud, collections, merchant risk, and governance. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will ensure sound credit decision-making while continuously enhancing credit policies, risk controls, and portfolio performance.

Credit Strategy & Underwriting Oversight: Lead day-to-day credit assessment activities, oversee underwriting quality, and provide guidance to Credit Assessment Officers on complex lending applications.
Portfolio Risk Management: Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging credit trends, and recommend changes to credit strategies, scorecards, affordability models, decisioning rules, and risk settings to optimise lending outcomes.
Fraud & Collections Oversight: Monitor fraud trends and collections performance, ensuring appropriate controls, recovery strategies, and operational effectiveness are maintained.
Merchant Risk Management: Oversee merchant onboarding and ongoing merchant risk monitoring to minimise operational and financial risk exposure.
Risk Governance & Reporting: Prepare and present risk reporting to senior stakeholders, monitor key risk indicators, and ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Risk, Compliance, Operations, Product, and Executive stakeholders to continuously improve lending processes, customer outcomes, and portfolio performance.
