Project Overview

Our client, a leading short-term insurer, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join its Pricing and Modelling team in Cape Town. The successful consultant will support the development and enhancement of pricing models, predictive analytics, and actuarial modelling capabilities, helping the business build more personalised and data-driven pricing solutions.

This role combines traditional actuarial work, including pricing and risk modelling, with modern analytical techniques such as machine learning and predictive modelling. The consultant will work closely with underwriting, risk, and business stakeholders to deliver insights that support strategic decision-making and improve pricing performance.

The ideal consultant will have at least three years of experience within short-term insurance, strong Python capabilities, and exposure to pricing models.

While actuarial exam progress is preferred, the client is open to candidates who bring strong pricing and modelling experience, even if they are not fully qualified actuaries.
