Project Overview

Our client, a global consulting firm is supporting the setup of a new copper foil production facility. Beyond technical execution, the client requires commercial leadership to drive go-to-market strategy, customer identification, and product qualification with end-users.


As the Commercial Expert, you will provide executive-level guidance on market entry, customer engagement, and qualification processes for battery-grade and CCL-grade copper foil. Your insights will help the client identify priority customers, navigate qualification cycles, and build a commercially viable customer pipeline.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on go-to-market strategy for copper foil products targeting battery and CCL applications.
  • Identify and introduce potential customers (battery manufacturers, PCB/CCL producers) for commercial engagement.
  • Support the product qualification process by providing insights into customer requirements, testing protocols, and approval timelines.
  • Provide competitive intelligence on pricing, supply agreements, and customer preferences in the copper foil market.
  • Collaborate with the client's leadership team to shape commercial positioning, channel strategy, and sales priorities.


Your Background

  • 5+ years at an executive level (CXO, Sales Director, VP Sales, GTM Leader) within a copper foil manufacturing company serving battery and/or CCL grades.
  • Deep understanding of customer qualification processes, technical buying criteria, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Prior employment or extensive commercial exposure to companies such as Mitsui Kinzoku, Nuode, Lotte Energy Materials, SK Nexilis, Hailiang, Nan Ya Plastics, Defu, Chang Chung, Jiayuan Technology, Chaohua Tech, JX Advanced Materials, Jiangxi Copper, TNMG, Londian Wason, Kingboard, or Solus.
  • Proven ability to open doors, navigate complex B2B sales cycles, and accelerate commercial traction.


Other Info

This is a contractual opportunity of an initial duration of 12 months. Primarily remote, though some travel may be required with advance notice. Part-time engagement.
