Our client, a leading consulting firm, is supporting their client in the clean energy and sustainable chemicals space, who is undertaking a strategic initiative to establish and expand its presence within the European green ammonia market. As part of this effort, the organisation is looking to engage a senior industry expert with deep market relationships and strong commercial networks across Europe.
The consultant will play a critical role in accelerating market access by leveraging existing industry connections to facilitate introductions, build strategic relationships, and create engagement opportunities with key buyers, distributors, traders, and procurement stakeholders. This is a high-impact opportunity to support a growing business in navigating a complex and evolving market landscape while helping shape its European growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage existing industry relationships to facilitate introductions and meetings with key stakeholders across the European ammonia ecosystem.
- Connect the client with buyers, distributors, traders, procurement leaders, and other relevant decision-makers within target markets.
- Support market access and relationship-building initiatives by opening doors to strategic accounts and industry networks.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagements and meetings across Europe to strengthen the client's commercial presence.
- Provide market intelligence, industry insights, and guidance on key market participants, trends, and opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the client on navigating the European ammonia value chain and stakeholder landscape.
Your Background
- 15+ years of experience within the ammonia, green ammonia, fertiliser, industrial gases, chemicals, or adjacent sectors.
- Former Business Development Director, Commercial Director, Sales Head, Business Unit Leader, or equivalent senior commercial executive.
- Demonstrated network within the European ammonia ecosystem, including buyers, distributors, traders, and procurement stakeholders.
- Ability to directly access and engage a broad network of industry decision-makers, with strong credibility and established relationships.
- Experience within green ammonia is preferred; candidates with conventional or grey ammonia experience will also be considered.
- Prior experience working across European markets and managing senior stakeholder relationships.

- The engagement is expected to run for an initial 12-month contract duration, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
- Consultants may be based in Europe or India, provided they can demonstrate strong access to the European ammonia market.
- The role will involve significant stakeholder engagement and travel across Europe, with all business-related travel and accommodation expenses covered by the client.
