We are working with a leading digital transformation boutique consulting firm headquartered in Singapore. They are seeking a Murex Project Manager to support a strategic client engagement with a large European Private Bank.


Project: New Murex implementation

Location: Singapore (open to PR, Singaporeans and those needing EP but able to relocate by 1st July 2026)

Project Duration: ~18 months

Approximate start date: Early July

Scope: Murex Front-to-Back Transformation for European Financial Services provider


Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Asia stream of a strategic Murex Front-to-Back implementation for a Europe-based headquartered FI. Based in Singapore, the role will coordinate regional delivery across Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology functions while ensuring alignment with program governance and architecture. The successful individual will act as the primary regional lead for Asia, driving execution, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and regulatory alignment across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires strong knowledge of capital markets and treasury products, combined with proven experience delivering complex Murex transformation programs within banking environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Program & Delivery Management
  • Lead the Asia workstream of the global Murex implementation program
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budget, dependencies, and delivery risks
  • Coordinate regional and global stakeholders across business and IT teams
  • Ensure alignment with global target operating model and architecture standards
  • Drive governance processes including steering committees, status reporting, RAID management, and milestone tracking
  • Business & Functional Coordination
  • Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams
  • Support definition and validation of target business processes and operating models
  • Coordinate regional requirements gathering and gap analysis
  • Oversee functional design reviews and business sign-offs
  • Technology & Integration Oversight
  • Coordinate implementation activities across Murex modules including:
  • Front Office
  • Risk Operations
  • Accounting
  • Market Data
  • Interfaces and Reporting
  • Manage dependencies with upstream/downstream systems
  • Ensure integration, testing, and migration activities are properly planned and executed Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships with Murex vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners
  • Coordinate offshore and onshore delivery teams across Asia and Europe
  • Facilitate communication between regional business users and global program leadership
  • Regulatory & Regional Coordination
  • Ensure regional compliance considerations are incorporated into delivery
  • Coordinate implementation activities across Asia entities and booking centers Support audit, controls, and operational readiness activities


Required Experience & Skills Mandatory

  • 15+ years of experience in banking technology and transformation programs
  • Proven experience managing Murex implementation or upgrade projects
  • Strong understanding of front-to-back capital markets workflows
  • Experience within private banking, wealth management, treasury, or investment banking environments
  • Strong stakeholder management across business and IT functions
  • Experience managing distributed international teams and vendors
  • Excellent project governance and reporting capabilities


Functional Knowledge

Good understanding of:

  • FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Treasury products
  • Trade lifecycle management
  • Risk and P&L processes
  • Operations and settlements
  • Regulatory reporting considerations


Preferred skills and experience

  • Experience working in APAC regulatory environments
  • Experience in European banking organizations
  • Familiarity with delivery methodologies
