Project Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong insurance and IFRS 17 expertise to support key finance, data, and system integration initiatives. This role will focus on driving alignment between business and technology across insurance reporting, finance, and data environments.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Engage with business stakeholders across Insurance, Finance, Actuarial, and Investment teams to gather, analyse, and document requirements
  • Translate business and regulatory needs (including IFRS 17) into clear functional specifications for technical teams
  • Support delivery of system integrations across insurance, finance, and data platforms
  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and document data flows and system interactions
  • Work closely with development, data, and architecture teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and improved data quality.pdf)
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder sessions, and alignment discussions
  • Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies, and progress tracking.pdf)
  • Assist with UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution
  • Ensure alignment with financial reporting standards, IFRS 17 requirements, and regulatory frameworks


Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within insurance
  • Strong experience with IFRS 17 implementation or reporting
  • Solid understanding of insurance processes and actuarial/finance data flows
  • Experience working on system integration or transformation initiatives
  • Strong business analysis skill set, including requirements elicitation, documentation, and process mapping
  • Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory and business requirements into practical solutions
