Our client, a global consulting firm is partnering with an Indian specialty chemical player on a greenfield business build case. The client is establishing new plant operations and requires hands-on support to bridge the gap between strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
As a key embedded consultant, you will play a critical role in enabling smooth plant startup and ramp-up by providing technical consultation to resolve daily operational challenges, driving production tracking, and ensuring workstream coordination. Your work will directly impact the client’s ability to meet production targets and establish reliable processes in a greenfield environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical consultation to plant operations teams, troubleshooting day-to-day process and equipment challenges
- Own PMO responsibilities including driving and tracking daily production numbers against targets
- Identify operational bottlenecks and propose practical, implementable solutions in real time
- Support internal reviews and workstream coordination by preparing data-driven updates for client leadership and the consulting team
- Collaborate with plant managers and engineers to ensure alignment between production execution and business build objectives
Your Background
- Degree in Chemical Engineering (mandatory)
- 7-12 years of experience with relevant exposure in a plant / manufacturing role within the chemicals industry (specialty chemicals preferred)
- Hands-on understanding of plant operations, not just theoretical or consulting-only exposure
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to work effectively with both shop-floor teams and senior stakeholders
Other Information
Location: Fully on-site at the plant in Bharuch, 5 days per week
Contract Duration: Initial duration of 1 year. Extendable to 2 years based on project requirements and performance
Travel & accommodation: Reimbursed for travel to/from Bharuch and local accommodation in Bharuch
