A leading global consulting firm is supporting a large-scale cost transformation initiative for a prominent enterprise focused on driving sustainable savings across both direct and indirect spend categories. As part of this broader transformation program, the team is identifying new value creation opportunities while ensuring successful implementation of existing cost optimization initiatives.

The consultant will play a key role in driving strategic cost improvement efforts, supporting opportunity assessment, savings realization, and implementation governance. This is a high-impact engagement offering exposure to senior stakeholders and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new cost optimization opportunities across direct and indirect spend categories
• Support development of savings hypotheses, business cases, and implementation roadmaps
• Drive PMO activities to ensure execution and tracking of identified initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across procurement, operations, finance, and business teams
• Monitor initiative progress, track impact realization, and flag implementation risks or dependencies
• Support data-driven analysis and problem-solving to unlock additional efficiency opportunities

Your Background

• 5–12 years of experience in cost optimization, procurement, operations, or transformation consulting
• Prior experience working on enterprise cost transformation or savings programs preferred
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management capabilities
• Experience driving PMO workstreams and implementation governance in complex environments
• Consulting background or experience working with large enterprises is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred

The engagement is expected to start immediately and will be based in India with a hybrid working model. The initial contract duration is expected to be 3–6 months, with a possibility of extension depending on project requirements and performance.
