Our client, Yoco, is seeking a qualified and experienced CA(SA) to support the finance function during a critical year-end reporting cycle. The consultant will be responsible for preparing and compiling both consolidated Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and single-entity/statutory AFS across a multi-entity environment.

This is a short-term consulting engagement suited to an independent finance professional with strong IFRS and group consolidation experience who can operate independently in a fast-paced environment. The consultant will work closely with the finance team and auditors to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting deliverables.

Key Activities

• Compile and prepare consolidated group Annual Financial Statements.
• Prepare single-entity and statutory Annual Financial Statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and Companies Act reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review consolidation workings, journals, and disclosure notes.
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit-related queries.
• Support technical accounting reviews and financial reporting matters where required.
• Review supporting schedules and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information.
• Assist the finance team in meeting year-end reporting deadlines and deliverables.

Your Background

Essential

• Qualified CA(SA) qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience compiling Annual Financial Statements.
• Strong experience in group consolidations and statutory/single-entity financial statements.
• Solid IFRS reporting expertise.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced finance environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver under tight reporting timelines.
• Available immediately or at short notice.

Desirable

• Experience working within multi-entity or group structures.
• Previous exposure to audit engagements and auditor management.
• Experience using financial reporting tools such as CaseWare.
