Project Overview

Our client is building a greenfield, AI-native digital bank in the UAE, backed by a large regional conglomerate, and is seeking ex-consultants with Business Analysis experience to support the design and launch of its MVP. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a bank being built from scratch, with a strong focus on digital-first customer experiences across retail and corporate banking.


This is an initial 6–8 month contract, with an immediate start required to support an MVP launch targeted for 31st March 2027 with the banking license coming in September this year.


The role operates within a scaled Agile delivery environment, where multiple cross-functional pods are driving parallel product builds. Each pod typically consists of 6–8 team members, working closely with Product Owners, engineers, and designers. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging business requirements with technical execution across one or more pods.


The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in business analysis, problem solving, and stakeholder management, with prior consulting experience and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, build-from-zero environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Translation to Delivery: Convert business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for development teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business, product, and technology teams to ensure alignment on requirements and outcomes.
  • Agile Support: Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
  • Process Mapping: Analyse and map current and future state processes to support efficient product design and delivery.
  • Testing & Validation: Support UAT, validate outputs against requirements, and ensure high-quality delivery of features.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and structured documentation for requirements, workflows, and decisions.


Your Background:


  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in strategy consulting, management consulting or technology consulting with expertise in analysis
  • Digital Delivery: Experience working on digital product or transformation initiatives
  • Agile Environment: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ways of working
  • Domain Knowledge (Preferred): Exposure to financial services, retail banking, or corporate banking is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable requirements.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
