Our client, a leading fashion retailer in Southeast Asia, is seeking an E-commerce Business Planning Manager to strengthen the financial planning backbone of its e-commerce organisation across multiple markets.

This role sits within the core e-commerce function and is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation across channels and regions. It ensures that all commercial and operational decisions are grounded in accurate, consistent, and well-governed financial data, working closely with Finance, FP&A, and cross-functional business teams.

Based in Singapore, the role is open to both interim and permanent candidates.


1. Role Purpose

The E-commerce Business Planning Manager is responsible for structuring, consolidating, and governing the e-commerce business from a financial and planning perspective.

The role owns budgeting, financial forecasting, and planning processes across markets and channels, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and consistency of financial information used across the organisation.


2. Key Responsibilities

A. Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Own the annual and quarterly e-commerce budgeting process across markets and channels.
  • Consolidate budget inputs and assumptions from regional and functional teams.
  • Align closely with Finance on targets, phasing, and assumptions.

B. Financial Forecasting & Control

  • Maintain financial forecasts and track performance versus budget.
  • Monitor variances and highlight key risks and deviations.
  • Ensure consistency of financial models, assumptions, and methodologies.

C. Business Consolidation & Governance

  • Act as primary liaison between e-commerce and Finance / FP&A.
  • Own planning calendars, templates, and submission processes.
  • Ensure consistency and governance of financial data used in leadership forums.

D. Business Coordination & Support

  • Provide structured financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Support leadership with validated financial views and analysis.
  • Maintain documentation, version control, and integrity of planning models.


3. Required Experience

Experience

  • 5+ years in FP&A, business planning, commercial planning, or related roles.
  • Experience in multi-country retail or e-commerce environments.
  • Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation processes.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong financial modelling and planning capability.
  • Advanced Excel / financial systems experience (FP&A tools, ERP systems preferred).
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce or retail P&L structures and key drivers.
