Project Overview

Our client, a boutique design consultancy firm, is supporting a client engagement to review and potentially replace an existing SaaS platform. The client requires a hands?on Business Analyst / Product Manager to lead a short, focused discovery phase, assessing current state processes and guiding a buy vs build decision. The work will involve close collaboration with users and stakeholders to define requirements, document gaps, and create a clear product roadmap.


This role is well suited to an experienced BA/Product professional with strong SaaS discovery experience, ideally within a government or public?sector context, who can operate autonomously and deliver high?quality artefacts at pace.


Project Scope

  • Client Type: Boutique design consultancy serving end clients (end client sector not disclosed)

Key Activities

  • Lead discovery and current?state assessment of the existing SaaS solution.
  • Document as?is and to?be process flows.
  • Identify gaps, user pain points, and functional limitations of the current platform.
  • Facilitate stakeholder and user workshops to capture requirements.
  • Support buy vs build decision?making, including replacement of an existing SaaS solution.
  • Write clear, structured user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop a high?level product roadmap aligned to business needs and delivery constraints.
  • Work hands?on with design and delivery teams to validate findings and recommendations.


Your Background

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst and/or Product Manager.
  • Strong hands?on experience delivering SaaS discovery engagements.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or ServiceNow platforms.
  • Ability to operate independently and drive outputs end?to?end.
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured documentation skills.
  • Experience producing:
  • As?is / to?be process flows
  • User stories
  • Gap analysis and pain point assessments
  • Roadmaps

Desirable

  • Background in government or public sector environments.
  • Experience supporting technology replacement or platform modernisation initiatives.
  • Prior work with consultancy or design?led teams.
