A government sector organisation requires a senior Enterprise Architect (SFIA Level 6/7) to support a strategic architecture engagement within a complex public sector environment. The consultant will provide enterprise architecture leadership across business, application, data, and technology domains to support large-scale transformation initiatives. Working alongside a consulting delivery team, the role will focus on developing and maintaining enterprise architecture artefacts, capability models, and technology roadmaps to guide strategic decision-making.

Key Activities:

• Provide enterprise architecture leadership across business, application, data, and technology domains
• Develop and maintain current-state and future-state enterprise architecture models
• Define capability maps, technology roadmaps, and transition states
• Ensure alignment between organisational strategy and technology direction
• Support architecture governance processes, including architecture review boards and decision forums
• Engage with senior program and executive stakeholders across complex government initiatives
• Utilise Orbus EA (iServer / OrbusInfinity) for architecture modelling, documentation, and reporting

Your Background:

Essential:

• Senior Enterprise Architect capability aligned to SFIA Level 6 or 7
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise architecture within Australian Government environments
• Active Australian Government Baseline security clearance
• Hands-on experience using Orbus EA software (iServer or OrbusInfinity)
• Strong enterprise architecture capability across business, application, data, and technology domains
• Experience operating within complex, multi-program delivery environments
• Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and governance forums

Desirable:

• Experience working alongside consulting firms on government transformation programs
• Experience within regulated domains such as taxation, superannuation, or registries
• Strong documentation, modelling, and architecture governance capability
• Ability to operate independently in fast-paced delivery environments
