Our client is looking for a Junior Actuarial Analyst with a strong interest in coding and technical problem-solving. This opportunity is ideally suited to an early-career actuarial professional who is passionate about programming, particularly in Python, and eager to contribute to the development of actuarial data and modelling infrastructure.

The focus of this role is less on actuarial exam progress or years of experience, and more on intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking, and enthusiasm for building scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain actuarial data and modelling infrastructure
• Build, enhance and maintain:
• Data models
• Risk scoring models
• Regression models
• Valuation models
• Use Python to automate and improve existing actuarial processes
• Perform data investigations and analysis using SQL
• Assist in model testing, validation, and documentation
• Support the enhancement of data pipelines and model governance processes
• Collaborate with senior actuaries and technical stakeholders on development initiatives
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and improved data architecture

Required Skills & Attributes

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative field
• Strong interest in coding and software development
• Working knowledge of Python (academic or practical exposure)
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for querying and investigating data
• Logical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn
