Project Overview

Our client is a global consulting firm currently engaged with a Public Sector organisation, is undertaking a high-impact, live strategic initiative focused on accelerating and strengthening India’s shipbuilding ecosystem. As a Naval Architect on this engagement, you will work closely with a consulting team and senior government and industry stakeholders to shape technical and commercial inputs into a national-level shipbuilding strategy. • Review TEFRs/DPRs and cluster proposals to evaluate technical feasibility, infrastructure readiness, and commercial attractiveness.
  • Provide technical and strategic inputs into vessel segment prioritisation and shipyard capacity planning.
  • Contribute to the development of a strategic roadmap aimed at enhancing cargo movement through coastal shipping and inland waterways.
  • Collaborate with consulting teams and engage with senior public sector stakeholders to support evidence-based decision-making.

Your Background

  • 5–15 years of relevant experience in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
  • Strong exposure to commercial vessels (defence exposure is an advantage).
  • Deep understanding of shipyard production processes, capacity metrics, and infrastructure planning.
  • Experience reviewing technical feasibility reports (TEFRs/DPRs) or large-scale maritime infrastructure proposals is preferred.
  • Comfortable operating in analytical, strategy-driven environments and working alongside consulting teams.
  • Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering from a recognised institution.
