Our client is a leading consulting firm working with an Indian manufacturer in the auto-agri sector, specializing in tractors and agricultural equipment. The firm operates at scale across domestic and international markets and is focused on strengthening its position as a global OEM through disciplined strategy, operational excellence, and performance management.
This engagement is part of a live, enterprise-wide strategic transformation initiative. The consultant will step into a Chief Strategy Officer–level role, partnering closely with the MD/CEO, JMD, and functional leaders to shape the company’s medium- to long-term growth agenda. The role will play a pivotal part in defining strategic priorities, driving cross-functional transformation programs, and enabling data-driven decision-making across product, market, and operational domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development of the 3–5 year corporate strategy and annual strategic priorities, including growth roadmaps across products, markets, and adjacencies
- Drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and aftermarket, acting as PMO for critical programs
- Build and evaluate business cases for new products, investments, and major operational initiatives, in close partnership with Finance
- Establish performance management frameworks, dashboards, and governance mechanisms for MD/CEO and Board-level visibility
- Develop market, customer, and technology intelligence covering global tractor/agri trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics
- Act as a senior thought partner to leadership, supporting board presentations, strategic reviews, and cross-functional decision-making
Your Background:
- 10–18 years of experience in strategy, transformation, or program leadership roles
- MBA or equivalent degree from a top-tier institution
- Prior experience in automotive or agri-machinery OEMs, industrial engineering companies, or top-tier consulting firms
- Strong understanding of OEM operations, product lifecycle management, R&D governance, and profitability drivers
- Proven track record of leading large, cross-functional initiatives and engaging with senior stakeholders
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and structured problem-solving capabilities

This is a full-time, on-site consulting engagement based in North India, with an expected start date as soon as possible. The initial contract duration is 8 months or longer, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs. The role is client-facing and embedded within the leadership team, offering significant exposure and impact at the enterprise level.
