Our client, a global consulting firm, is partnering with a leading consumer goods company in the kitchenware and kitchen appliances segment on a live, high-impact growth initiative. The engagement sits within a broader Sales & Distribution Acceleration program aimed at significantly scaling the client’s e-commerce business.
As part of this initiative, the firm is seeking to onboard an Category Manager with deep category and marketplace execution expertise in kitchenware and kitchen appliances. The consultant will work closely with the consulting team and client leadership to accelerate e-commerce growth by improving listing quality, optimizing advertising and promotion spend, and strengthening overall category performance across leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and execution of the e-commerce growth strategy for kitchenware and kitchen appliances
- Conduct deep-dive data analysis on sales performance, funnel metrics, and ROI across platforms
- Perform competitor benchmarking and category diagnostics to identify growth opportunities
- Review and improve listing hygiene, content quality, and discoverability across marketplaces
- Analyze and optimize advertising spend and promotional effectiveness on e-commerce platforms
- Work closely with client teams and consulting stakeholders to translate insights into actionable recommendations
Your Background:
- 5+ years of experience in e-commerce or quick commerce, preferably in kitchenware or kitchen appliances
- Prior experience at leading platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, or Zepto
- Strong understanding of e-commerce strategy, category management, listings, and performance marketing
- Proven analytical skills with hands-on experience in data analysis and business insights
- MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute preferred; alternatively, undergraduate degree from a Tier 1 college
- Experience in consumer goods or relevant digital commerce categories is highly desirable
Other Details:
The project is a live engagement starting from 1 January 2026 (with flexibility for an earlier start), based in Bangalore. The consultant is expected to be primarily onsite in Bangalore, with occasional market visits outside the city. The contract duration is 6 months, with potential extension up to 12 months based on project needs and performance.
