Our client, a consulting firm working with a transport organisation, is seeking a Technology and Data Architecture Lead to transform the commuter disruption experience. This hands-on role involves analysing current-state challenges, designing a future-state service blueprint that leverages existing data and technology infrastructure, and developing a practical implementation roadmap that reduces manual processes through AI and automation. You will work with the client's core technology stack - including cloud platforms, spatial/GIS systems, asset management, workflow integration, and open data APIs - to design integrated architecture that connects engineering, operational, and public-facing data streams. Working collaboratively with stakeholders and supported by additional resources, you will provide hands-on technical leadership to ensure the solution is scalable, data-driven, and aligned with customer needs.
The ideal talent brings deep expertise in transport system architecture with proven experience integrating complex data ecosystems across engineering, operations, and customer-facing platforms.
Key Activities
- Current-State Architecture Assessment: Analyse existing technology stack to map data flows, integration points, and manual processes within the commuter disruption experience
- Integrated Architecture Design: Design a future-state architecture that enables seamless integration between engineering systems, operational platforms, and public-facing data streams to support real-time disruption management
- Data Integration Strategy: Develop data integration patterns and workflows
- AI & Automation Implementation: Identify and design AI-driven insights and automated workflows that leverage integrated data streams to improve disruption prediction, response, and customer communication
- Service Blueprint Development: Create a comprehensive service blueprint that demonstrates how integrated data and technology capabilities will transform the customer experience
- Phased Roadmap Creation: Develop a practical implementation roadmap with clear milestones, technical dependencies, and resource requirements for delivery in phases
