Our client is the Mineworkers Investment Company. They require the services of an investment professional for a period of approximately 6 months to augment the team (please note that their office closes from mid-December to early January).

While working remotely from within South Africa can work, and will be considered, there is a preference for someone based in Johannesburg who can go to their office in Parktown as needed.

Consultants with capacity of 60% and higher will be considered, and an ideal start date will be in October.

What is being sought:

• 7+ years' experience as an investment professional
• A strong background in due diligence, financial modelling, reporting and valuations
• A generalist
• Experience in structuring would be an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of markets and investment instruments
• Good working knowledge of Companies Act and other relevant commercial regulation
• Good working knowledge of Income Tax
• Ideal backgrounds would be in M&A and/or Corporate Finance
• CA (SA), BCom/BSc Honours degree holder, or CFA Level I or II or equivalent post graduate qualification
• A strong communicator and self-starter
• Great stakeholder management
