Project Overview

Our client, a global consulting firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Remittance Strategy Consultant to provide strategic advisory services to our client’s remittance team. The consultant will be instrumental in enhancing remittance flows through our digital channels, identifying and developing new remittance corridors, and fostering partnerships with fintech companies. Acting as the primary liaison between Cross-Border Services and the client, the consultant will ensure a seamless and productive collaboration.


Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Strategic Advisory: Develop and implement strategies to increase remittance volumes via digital platforms, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall objectives.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new remittance corridors, conducting market analyses to assess potential opportunities and risks.
  • Initiative Implementation: Lead the execution of initiatives aimed at scaling the remittance business, collaborating with cross-functional teams for timely and effective delivery.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary contact between MasterCard Cross-Border Services and the bank, facilitating communication and resolving issues.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on emerging trends in the remittance industry, providing insights and recommendations to maintain competitiveness.
  • Fintech Partnerships: Explore and establish partnerships with fintech companies to enhance remittance offerings and expand service capabilities.


Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the remittance industry, with a track record of increasing remittance volumes for banks.
  • Product Implementation: Proven experience in developing and launching remittance products and solutions.
  • Regional Expertise: Prior experience in the Middle East with in-depth knowledge of the regional remittance landscape.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with digital remittance platforms and emerging fintech solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to liaise with internal teams and external partners, with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical Aptitude: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and make informed strategic decisions.
