Our client is a global private equity advisory and performance improvement firm, supporting investors and portfolio companies across pre- and post-deal value creation. The role sits within their Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice and focuses on delivering high-impact commercial and operational insights for private equity clients across the ANZ market.
The client is seeking a blended team of consultants with strong lean manufacturing and operational excellence capability, ideally complemented by consulting experience. This is an opportunity to support complex PE?backed environments, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive measurable performance improvement. Roles are not yet fully scoped; the immediate objective is to assemble a credible, flexible talent pool ahead of anticipated engagements.
Project Scope
- Programme Context: PEPI delivery for private equity clients and portfolio companies
- Team Model: Cross?functional team of ~5–6 consultants, varying seniority levels
- Focus Areas: Operational improvement, lean manufacturing, value creation
- Sector Exposure: FMCG / Food & Beverage strongly preferred
Key Activities
- Support delivery of operational and performance improvement initiatives for PE portfolio companies.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to diagnose operational inefficiencies and identify value creation opportunities.
- Conduct operational assessments across manufacturing, supply chain, and production environments.
- Develop data?driven insights and recommendations for senior client stakeholders.
- Contribute to pre? and post?deal value creation initiatives, depending on project scope.
- Work collaboratively within lean, high?performing consulting teams.
- Engage confidently with client executives and private equity stakeholders.
- Support rapid mobilisation and delivery across multiple portfolio contexts.
Your Background
Essential
- Experience in lean manufacturing, operational excellence, or continuous improvement.
- Background in consulting and/or hands?on industry roles within manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem?solving capability in complex operational settings.
- Comfortable operating in fast?paced, high?expectation PE environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including exposure to senior leadership.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Desirable
- FMCG and/or Food & Beverage sector experience.
- Prior experience working with private equity clients or portfolio companies.
- Exposure to both pre?deal operational due diligence and post?deal value creation.
- Experience delivering within small, high?intensity consulting teams.
