A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Product Manager to support the growth and optimisation of its Pay (cards) product portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a 6-month engagement, based in Melbourne, where you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, driving commercial outcomes, and delivering enhancements across existing and new products.
Working within a cross-functional environment, the role will focus on executing product strategy, improving customer experience, and ensuring strong alignment across stakeholders to deliver against business and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through to launch, optimisation, and retirement.
- Own and monitor product performance and P&L, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and commercial outcomes.
- Develop and execute product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and customer needs.
- Identify and build business cases for new product initiatives, enhancements, and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product and experience initiatives on time and to a high standard.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform product innovation and differentiation.
- Ensure all products meet risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements across AU/NZ.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Incorporate CX/UX principles to optimise end-to-end customer journeys.
- Leverage customer feedback and insights to inform product enhancements and experience improvements.
Your Background
- Proven experience in product management, ideally within cards or payments
- Strong capability in developing and executing product roadmaps and strategies
- Experience managing product performance, financials, and commercial outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments
