Project Overview

We are building a targeted talent pool of junior actuarial analysts to support an upcoming engagement focused on model validation within a specialised actuarial environment.

This is a strong fit for early-career actuaries who are keen to gain hands-on experience in bottom-up validation of projected cash flow models, working closely with real policy data and model outputs.

What you will do:

  • Perform detailed validation of projected cash flow models.
  • Conduct bottom-up testing on sample policies to ensure models are functioning as intended.
  • Validate that:
  • Policies are being valued correctly.
  • Assumptions and tables are being applied accurately.
  • Model shocks and adjustments are correctly implemented.
  • Work with model outputs and datasets stored in SQL environments.
  • Support documentation and reporting of validation findings and discrepancies.

What we are looking for:

  • 1–2 years of actuarial experience.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial modelling fundamentals.
  • Exposure to cash flow models, valuation, or pricing models.
  • SQL skills (advantageous) — as data and model outputs are SQL-based.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach.
  • Ability to work independently in a structured validation environment.

Important to note:

  • Experience with R3S (RNA Analytics) is not expected.
  • This is a hands-on validation role, not pricing or strategy-focused.
  • Best suited to junior actuaries looking to deepen technical model understanding.

Why join this talent pool:

  • Opportunity to work on a deep, technical actuarial validation exercise.
  • Exposure to real-world model validation across multiple policies and scenarios.
  • Fully remote engagement with full-time involvement preferred.
  • Ideal for actuaries looking to build core modelling and validation expertise early in their career.
