Project Overview


Our client is a Series A fintech startup in Indonesia building a next-generation one-click checkout and real-time payments platform, and is seeking an experienced Chief of Staff / Strategy & Operations Consultant to support leadership on strategic execution, organisational development, and key transformation initiatives.


This engagement will focus on driving cross-functional priorities, establishing organisational processes and policies, and supporting leadership in scaling operations effectively during a high-growth phase. The talent will play a critical role in aligning teams, improving execution, and building a strong cultural and operational foundation.


The role is hands-on and best suited for a professional with strong experience in strategy, project management, and organisational design, ideally within fast-paced startup or fintech environments.


This is expected to be an initial 3–4 month engagement (part-time), with the potential to transition into a full-time role. The role can be remote initially, with potential relocation or travel to Jakarta post the trial period.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and support strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects from ideation through execution
  • Drive policy development and organisational governance, including introduction and revision of internal frameworks
  • Design and implement culture, engagement, and organisational development initiatives
  • Support leadership in annual planning, including HR strategy and budgeting
  • Establish and enhance:
  • Performance management frameworks
  • Rewards and recognition programs
  • Talent management and development initiatives
  • Oversee end-to-end project management, including:
  • Project planning and charter development
  • Resource allocation and timeline management
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Stakeholder communication and reporting
  • Build and manage internal communication strategies, including:
  • Organisational announcements
  • Change management communications
  • Employee engagement initiatives
  • Develop learning and development programs and support high-potential employee growth plans
  • Benchmark existing organisational practices and introduce best-in-class improvements
  • Design dashboards and reporting frameworks to track organisational and HR performance metrics
  • Support organisation structure design and evolution in line with business growth
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and execution across teams


Experience

  • ~8+ years of experience in corporate strategy, Chief of Staff, or project/program management roles
  • Experience in high-growth startups, fintech, payments, or consumer-facing businesses preferred
  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and organisational transformation
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership / C-suite stakeholders
  • Exposure to HR strategy, organisational design, or people initiatives is highly preferred


Expertise & Skills

  • Strong project management and execution capabilities, with experience managing complex initiatives end-to-end
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of organisational design, culture, and people strategy
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with ability to translate insights into action
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to both detail and big-picture thinking
  • High ownership, self-starter mindset, and ability to drive outcomes independently
  • Experience preparing investment decks or collateral is a valued bonus.
