We are supporting a leading global consulting firm on a sales transformation engagement for a prominent consumer-facing organisation. The project is focused on strengthening go-to-market (GTM) execution, enhancing salesforce effectiveness, and driving consistent in-market performance across multiple regions.
As part of this initiative, the consultant will take ownership of a sales zone, working closely with business leaders to improve execution, optimise sales processes, and drive measurable commercial outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to influence frontline sales operations, improve field productivity, and implement scalable best practices that enhance overall sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead secondary-led GTM initiatives, including OTC stockist onboarding and rollout of A-class retailer programs across assigned zones.
- Independently manage a sales zone, conducting regular performance reviews with sales teams to identify key performance gaps and implement corrective actions within the month.
- Develop and standardise sales team ways of working by creating SOPs and identifying enhancements required in the salesforce application to improve field-force productivity.
- Assess current salesforce capabilities, identify skill and execution gaps, and recommend targeted interventions to strengthen in-market performance.
- Collaborate closely with sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution excellence and improve commercial outcomes.
Your Background
- 6–12+ years of experience in sales transformation, GTM strategy, sales excellence, or commercial operations.
- Strong understanding of secondary sales, distributor management, retail execution, and field sales processes, preferably within FMCG, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, or similar industries.
- Experience driving salesforce effectiveness initiatives, process improvements, and performance management programs.
- Ability to analyse sales metrics, identify performance trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working alongside business and sales leadership teams.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
