Our client is a global management consulting firm. They are supporting a live transformation project for a data centre operator and are seeking consultants to develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) covering end-to-end data centre delivery processes.

The engagement focuses on defining, documenting, and standardising the processes involved in delivering data centre projects, ensuring consistency, governance, and operational excellence across the organisation. The consultant will work as part of the consulting team, collaborating closely with project leadership and subject matter experts to translate existing practices into structured SOPs and process documentation.

This opportunity is ideal for consultants with strong process design and SOP development experience, particularly in complex operationalor capital-intensive environments.

Key Activities

• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures for data centre delivery processes.
• Analyse existing delivery workflows and identify opportunities for process standardisation.
• Facilitate process definition workshops with project stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Translate operational processes into clear, structured SOPs and supporting documentation.
• Establish governance, roles, responsibilities, and process controls within SOPs.
• Ensure documentation is practical, scalable, and aligned to operational requirements.
• Collaborate with consulting team members to maintain consistency across process areas.
• Produce high-quality client-ready process maps, SOPs, and supporting materials.

Your Background

Senior Consultant Profile

Essential

• 5+ years of experience in process design, operational excellence, business process management, or SOP development.
• Proven experience documenting complex operational or delivery processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Ability to independently structure and lead SOP development activities.
• Excellent written communication and documentation capability.

Consultant / Junior Consultant Profile

Essential

• Less than 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting process documentation, SOP creation, business analysis, or operational improvement projects.
• Strong written communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop high-quality documentation in a structured and consistent manner.

Desirable (Both Profiles)

• Experience within data centres, telecommunications, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or technology operations.
• Exposure to large CAPEX project environments such as:
• Data centres
• Hospitals
• Hotels
• Industrial facilities
• Major infrastructure projects
• Formal qualifications or training in SOP development, process management, quality management, or operational excellenceframeworks.
