Our client is looking for a Claims Administrator to administer death claims within the Group Assurance business, ensuring accurate and timely claims processing, benefit payments, and client service. The role requires experience in Section 37C (S37C) investigations and benefit distributions, ensuring compliance with legislative and policy requirements. This is a 6-month contract with the option to extend for a further 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer death claims from notification through to settlement.
- Validate member eligibility against policy terms and conditions.
- Conduct and support S37C investigations, including beneficiary tracing and verification.
- Manage claim documentation and follow up on outstanding requirements.
- Process claim and beneficiary payments accurately and timeously.
- Respond to client, beneficiary, employer, and stakeholder queries.
- Maintain accurate claim records and data.
- Manage email correspondence and ensure timely resolution of queries.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- 3–5 years' experience in death claims administration within Employee Benefits, Retirement Funds, Group Risk, or Insurance.
- Proven experience with S37C investigations and payments is essential.
- Sound understanding of pension fund and employee benefits legislation.
- Strong administrative, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Advantageous
- Experience using Compass, Chorus, and EMS systems.
- Exposure to retirement fund and employee benefits administration.
