Our client is a leading global consulting firm supporting a client in establishing the institutional frameworks and governance required for a newly established academic institution. This engagement focuses on developing foundational policies and operating frameworks across key administrative and academic functions.

As a consultant, you will play a critical role in shaping the institution's governance model by developing best-practice frameworks across functions such as finance, procurement, human resources, academics, and faculty affairs. You will leverage benchmarking, industry research, and expert insights to create robust policy drafts that align with the client's vision and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop governance frameworks and institutional policies across functions including finance, procurement, HR, academics, and faculty affairs.
• Conduct benchmarking of leading universities and higher education institutions to identify best practices and governance models.
• Engage with subject matter experts and industry stakeholders to gather insights and validate policy recommendations.
• Draft policies, frameworks, and standard operating guidelines tailored to the client's organizational needs.
• Collaborate closely with the consulting team and client stakeholders to refine, review, and align policy documents.
• Support workshops, discussions, and stakeholder reviews to facilitate policy adoption and implementation.

Your Background

• 8–15+ years of experience in strategy consulting, policy development, governance, or institutional transformation.
• Experience developing frameworks, policies, or operating models for public sector, education, higher education, or large institutions is highly preferred.
• Strong expertise in research, benchmarking, and translating best practices into practical policy frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and subject matter experts.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems, synthesize insights, and produce high-quality written deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (MBA, Public Policy, Higher Education, or related field) preferred.
