A venture backed by a leading global bank is seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to support near term financial planning, product performance oversight, and investor readiness activities. The role will focus on refreshing the venture’s financial model, revising forward year financials, and partnering closely with the product team to align financial and product metrics.

In addition to core modeling work, the engagement may extend into selected governance and fundraising readiness activities. This is a part time (2 days/week), hands on role suited to a senior finance professional who can operate in a fast moving venture environment and engage credibly with founders, product leaders, and board level stakeholders. Preference is for a consultant physically based in the UAE to enable deeper immersion with the team.

Project Scope

• Client Type: Venture backed by a leading global banking group

• Location Preference: UAE (on the ground presence strongly preferred)

Key Activities

• Update and refine the venture’s financial model
• Redo and validate 2026 financials and projections for subsequent years.
• Partner with the product team to align financials with core product and growth metrics.
• Review and support finance related aspects of:
• Shareholders’ agreements
• Board level financial matters and materials
• Support preparation for the next funding round, including financial readiness and investor-facing outputs.

Your Background

Essential

• Senior finance leadership experience (e.g. Fractional CFO, CFO, Finance Director).
• Strong financial modeling capability, including multi year forecasts.
• Experience operating in venture backed or growth stage businesses.
• Ability to work closely with product teams on metrics and performance drivers.
• Strong commercial judgment and stakeholder communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with boards, shareholders, and senior executives.
• Ability to deliver independently on a part time basis.

Desirable

• Prior experience supporting funding rounds or capital raises.
• Exposure to shareholder agreements and board governance matters.
• Experience working with ventures backed by large financial institutions.
• UAE based experience or strong familiarity with the regional business environment.
