We are working with the procurement practice of one of the leading strategy consulting firms who are running a large indirect procurement transformation for a global FMCG client focused on cost optimisation. They are seeking a senior 2 procurement consultants to join their team in Amsterdam/Singapore for an initial 6 month contract to help drive the identification and implementation of various cost saving initiatives.

Location: Amsterdam / Singapore (1 consultant needed from each market)

Required Background

• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect categories within global/regional organization
• Background from Large MNC company, prioritizing F&B background (e.g., Nestle, Unilever, Mars, Mondelez, Danone), other industry will be reviewed case by case if experience in category is relevant (e.g., Pharma, Industrial Good)
• Proven track record in senior roles such as:
• Category Director
• Senior Category Manager
• Head of Indirect Procurement
• VP / Director of Procurement
• Chief Procurement Officer (CPO)
• Experience in either corporate procurement (in-house) or procurement consulting, or both
• Strong background in indirect categories such as IT, Marketing, HR, Facilities, Professional Services, Travel, or MRO

Key Skills & Experience

• Led or managed large-scale category strategies end-to-end
• Experience with supplier negotiations at a senior/executive level
• Familiar with procurement transformation or process improvement initiatives
• Comfortable engaging with and influencing C-suite and senior stakeholders
• Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations
• Exposure to multiple geographies or global procurement is a plus

Nice to Have

• Prior consulting firm background (e.g. Big 4, boutique procurement consultancy, MBB)
• CIPS or equivalent procurement certification
