Project Overview

Our client is a global top-tier consulting firm supporting strategy and transformation engagements for a manufacturing-focused end client operating across Steel, Cement, Chemicals, and Energy sectors.


The Strategy Consultant role is part of a broader enterprise strategy and transformation initiative, where the consultant will work closely with case teams to deliver high-quality strategic insights, business cases, and transformation support. The consultant will play a critical role in shaping executive decision-making through rigorous analysis, structured problem-solving, and strong client-ready communication.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the consulting firm case teams on corporate, business unit, and functional strategy engagements.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and internal performance analyses to develop hypothesis-led insights.
  • Translate analysis into clear, actionable, client-ready recommendations.
  • Build executive-ready PowerPoint decks aligned with the consulting firm standards, including steering committee, leadership update, and progress tracking decks.
  • Develop structured storylines, charts, and exhibits with high standards of slide hygiene and visual clarity.
  • Support digital strategy and ERP-led transformation initiatives (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle), including business process documentation and PMO support.


Your Background:

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, or transformation roles.
  • Prior experience supporting top-tier or boutique consulting firms strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated exposure to manufacturing-sector clients (Steel, Cement, Chemicals, Energy).
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with strong story-lining and executive communication capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of strategy frameworks, consulting problem-solving approaches, and business case development.
  • Experience supporting digital strategy, ERP transformations, and end-to-end business process analysis.
  • MBA / PGDM or equivalent advanced degree preferred; engineering or manufacturing background is a plus.


Other Details:

This is a contractual role with a duration of 5 months. The engagement is case-team driven, with a high-intensity work style and onsite or hybrid presence in Mumbai is required.
