Opportunity Overview


Our client, a global payments firm, is seeking a Credit Card acquisition specailist to join their Advisory division in HK. This is a 11-month role focused on helping their banking clients drive new customer acquisition for their existing credit card solutions through different acquisition channels and partnership models.


The ideal individual will work with issuer clients to develop and execute impactful acquisition campaigns, identify key customer segments, and maximize market penetration with targeted strategies tailored to the HK market. The role provides the opportunity to shape competitive acquisition strategies in a dynamic financial landscape.


What You Will Be Doing

Acquisition Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement comprehensive acquisition strategies for existing core and co-branded credit card products targeting diverse customer segments.
  • Analyse market data and customer insights to identify key acquisition channels and refine strategies for maximum impact.
  • Create customer personas to ensure acquisition initiatives are tailored to segment-specific needs.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans ensuring alignment across acquisition channels.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Digital teams to design multi-channel campaigns including digital, social media, in-branch, and partner promotions.
  • Define launch objectives, timelines, and KPIs to measure and optimize acquisition success.

Channel Optimisation & Partnership Development

  • Identify and optimise acquisition channels, including digital advertising, influencer marketing, partnerships, and branch networks.
  • Develop and manage relationships with acquisition partners, aligning on target audiences and campaign goals.
  • Implement innovative acquisition tactics such as referral programs, exclusive offers, and bundled packages.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct research to understand customer preferences and behaviours, identifying trends that inform acquisition strategies.
  • Perform competitive analysis to benchmark tactics and identify opportunities to enhance market positioning.
  • Adapt GTM and acquisition strategies based on evolving market trends and insights.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Track campaign performance using metrics such as acquisition cost, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value.
  • Analyse customer feedback to refine acquisition initiatives and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on acquisition performance, highlighting areas for improvement and growth.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Digital, Sales, and Legal teams to align on acquisition strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with external co-brand partners for joint acquisition initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for acquisition-related initiatives, managing feedback and stakeholder expectations.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure acquisition campaigns comply with HK regulatory requirements, maintaining transparency in customer-facing content.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in acquisition initiatives, collaborating with Compliance and Legal teams to uphold standards.


Your Background

  • 5-8 years of experience in card acquisition, go-to-market planning, or product management within financial services or payments, focusing on credit cards.
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing acquisition strategies that drive customer growth.
  • Knowledge of the HK banking landscape.
  • Familiar with different acquisition channels and partnership model
  • Fluent in Cantonese & English
