Project Overview

RMA is seeking an experienced Business Architect to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between strategic intent and operational execution. This role focuses on designing and optimizing business strategies, capabilities, and processes to ensure alignment between business objectives and technology enablement. The Business Architect will provide a holistic view of the enterprise from a business perspective; developing blueprints that drive informed decision-making, efficient resource allocation, and sustainable business transformation.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Alignment and Planning

  • Collaborate with executives and key stakeholders to define business strategies, goals, and success metrics.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable plans that align with enterprise and IT strategies.
  • Develop business architecture roadmaps to support the organization’s strategic direction and desired future state.

2. Capability and Process Design

  • Identify, define, and document key business capabilities and the processes that enable them.
  • Create and maintain Business Capability Models, Value Stream Maps, and Operating Models to visualize how the organization creates and delivers value.
  • Conduct Gap Analyses to identify discrepancies between current and target states, recommending solutions for process improvements, technology investments, or structural changes.

3. Business Model and Value Optimization

  • Analyze how the business creates, delivers, and captures value for customers.
  • Outline and optimize high-level business processes and value streams, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend and guide business change initiatives to improve performance and operational agility.

4. Information and Communication Management

  • Define and maintain the Information Architecture supporting decision-making, analytics, and operational management.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business and IT teams to ensure technology solutions enable business capabilities and strategy.
  • Develop and implement Communication and Alignment Plans to ensure stakeholder engagement and understanding across the organization.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree advantageous).
  • Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or business process design within complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience working in financial services, insurance, or related industries preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of Business Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK, Zachman).
  • Proven ability to develop capability maps, operating models, and business roadmaps.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and enterprise modeling tools (e.g., Visio, ARIS, Bizagi, or similar).
  • Knowledge of information management principles, data flows, and analytics integration.
  • Experience collaborating with IT and transformation teams to align solutions with business capabilities
