Our client is assessing new adjacent business opportunities for a financial services company through a structured concept development process. Teams will deliver concise concept papers covering opportunity definition, value potential, customer segments, competition, and strategic choices, each completed over rapid 2-week sprints.
Role Overview
As a Consultant, you’ll play a key supporting role within a small strategy team, conducting market research, gathering and analysing data, and helping to shape opportunity assessments and presentation materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market and competitor research
- Perform data collection and analysis to support opportunity sizing
- Assist in developing concept paper slides and storyboards
- Support hypothesis development and insight synthesis
- Collaborate with senior consultants and engagement manager to ensure quality and delivery
Requirements
- ~2+ years’ consulting experience in Corporate, Product, or Innovation Strategy
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Proficient in data analysis and presentation development (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced project environment
- Financial services exposure helpful but not required
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Fixed monthly rate for the project duration
- Timing: Immediate start, completion by mid-November; potential extension (Nov–Feb)
- Location: Johannesburg preferred (hybrid).
