Our client, a global consulting firm is working on an operational excellence project with a leading player in the mining sector in India. The project is focused on improving productivity and operational efficiency across multiple mining sites in Rajasthan.

As part of this initiative, the consulting team is driving end-to-end productivity improvement programs covering mine development cycles, hoisting systems, fleet utilisation, and recovery processes. To support on this initiative, they are looking to onboard a Mining Operations Consultant.

The consultant will work directly alongside the client’s operations leadership and the consulting firm’s project team to drive execution excellence and measurable improvements in site performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the consulting and client teams in executing productivity improvement initiatives at mine sites.

Track and analyze key project metrics related to mine development, hoisting, fleet, and processing infrastructure.

Identify and drive improvements in mine planning, stoping operations, and workforce or equipment management.

Collaborate with client site teams to enhance safety, recovery rates, and overall operational efficiency.

Provide analytical and on-ground execution support to the leadership team to ensure timely and sustainable delivery of project outcomes.

Your Background:

Atleast 3+ years of experience in mining operations or development projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, preferably from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad or other reputed mining institutions.

Hands-on experience in mine planning, development, stoping operations, hoisting systems, and processing & recovery improvement.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams on-site.

Exposure to productivity or operational excellence initiatives within the mining or industrial sectors will be advantageous.

Other Information:

Duration: 6–9 months (with potential for extension based on project needs)

Location: Rajasthan (on-site, Monday–Friday) with weekend fly-backs

Engagement type: Full-time, on-site consultant working closely with the client and consulting firm’s team
