Our client, Hannover Re South Africa, requires the services of a technically strong actuarial consultant.

This is a remote role, although there is a slight preference for a Johannesburg-based consultant able to meet with the team a few times.

Contract duration is expected to 3 months starting mid-October, with variable capacity needed due to the nature of the work with the end-client.

Deliverable:

The focus of this project is a complex premium reconciliation exercise looking back over a number of years with one of Hannover Re's larger life insurance clients.

Background and skills sought:

• A senior actuarial specialist or qualified actuary
• Strong technical skillset
• Ability to work with large data sets, ideally in R
• Good understanding of income replacement benefits
• Experience with premium reconciliation work would be ideal
• Life insurance knowledge is key. Reinsurance experience would be beneficial
