Our client, a global consulting firm, is looking for a consultant to support them on a Capital Program Management project for a large conglomerate major in India. The project focuses on supporting the client with expansion design and CAPEX cost reduction.
To support on this, they are looking for someone with prior experience in managing large capex projects with engineering/construction/steel firms.
Below summarises the responsibilities of the consultant:
- Reviewing and enhancing the project schedule for accuracy
- Facilitating, planning and scheduling workshops
- Assisting in the implementation of digital solutions for managing large-scale projects
- Coordinating cross-functionally among various stakeholders, such as the Project Team, Project Management Consultant (PMC), Design Team, and others
- Maintaining daily coordination with the PMC and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution
- Establishing a governance framework, including conducting reviews, monitoring key metrics, and preparing reports
An ideal candidate would have:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in managing large capex projects in Plant Construction across steel/power/metals/mining sectors
- Project planning tools such as Primavera (mandatory)
- Experience of having worked with either an engineering/construction/steel firm or experience of being a project management consultant for construction projects
- A post-graduation degree from a top tier university is mandatory
This is a contractual role with an initial duration of 9 to 12 months. The consultant will be required to work on-site in Mumbai/Delhi with travel to Kolkata as per the project requirement.
